I have submitted my work, when will I get a contract? You will receive a printable contract for you to sign once your work has been reviewed and accepted.
How long is the contract? The contract is a rolling contract. This means that it doesn't last for a specified length but instead is in affect as long as both parties remain within the contract.
Can I see the contract before I send my work to you? A sample exclusive contract can be seen here, and a sample non-exclusive contract can be seen here.
What are the main points in the contract? The main points in the contract that you should read carefully are:
  • Your right to cancel the contract with 5 days notice.
  • Our rights to terminate the contract if we suspect fraud, other illegal activity, or if you fail to comply with the terms of the contract.
  • Your rights when attempting to publish your work through another publisher.
I have an exclusive contract with you for my work and I want publish it with another publisher, how can I do this? First you should write an email to owner@FreelanceePublishing.com stating your intention and also whether you wish to change your contract with us or to cancel it. If you wish to remain with us then we will forward you with a replacement non-exclusive contract for you to sign. Once we return it to you signed by ourselves you may then publish your work as you wish.
How do you send us the contract? We email the contract to you as a printable document that you need to sign and return to us. You may return it by fax, email or post for us to sign. Finally we will email to you a copy of the contract signed by both you and us.
