Frequently Asked Questions about Publishing

FAQ Home Page Publishing Royalties Contract Submissions

If I publish with you what rights will I still have to my work?

Your work will always remain yours. We do not buy the rights to your work, we simply use the rights you give us to make your work available for purchase.

I have created an xxxx, can you publish it?

We can publish any downloadable content with a few minor considerations. We will only accept submissions in English, or multi-language formats which must include English and we will not tolerate fraud, theft, plagiarism, child pornography, or gratuitous indecency. (We reserve the right to refuse any work you submit that we decide is in breach of our rules and will endeavour to provide constructive criticism.)

How can I submit my work?

In order to have your work published you will need to download our publishing software, and create an author account. We will not accept submissions via post, email or any other communication media.

Can I publish my work on here and somewhere else?

Your work is your own and you may do with it as you wish. However if you grant us exclusive rights to publish your work you will earn a higher royalty.

If you fail to inform us that you have published, or plan to publish your work via another publisher then we may terminate your account without warning and withhold any outstanding royalties.

How much do you charge for your service?

We will never charge you a penny for our service ever*, so from the first sale of your work you are in profit. We earn our revenue by marketing your work for you, and take a small percentage of each sale as profit with a larger percentage being used to pay our costs.

* This excludes the cost of printing and postage for any paperback copies of your work you order from us.

How do you decide on the retail price for my work?

As part of the approval process we will decide, based on the content and type of your work, how much we think people will pay for your work. You will then have the opportunity to either agree on the price we have set or suggest your own price. The negotiation will continue until either you decide to withdraw your work or we come to an agreement.

If you reject my submission will I be able to resubmit it?

Yes, if we reject your submission we will give details of why it has been rejected, and then if you change it to fall in line with our requirements you can resubmit it to go through the approval process again. However, if we remove your submission it may not be resubmitted.

Do you provide a Print on Demand Service?

We do not provide print on demand (POD) at this time but we are looking at providing POD in the near future.

Can I withdraw my work/cancel my account?

If you change your mind about publishing any item, at any time, you may withdraw it with only 3 days notice. We require the time to update the library, and remove any reference to the work.

You may also close your author account with us at any time, with 5 working days notice. The closure of your account can be processed straight away, but again we need time to update the library, and to send you any outstanding royalties.
